Harter's Taxidermy is located in the great interior of Alaska, owned and operated by Richard Harter and his wife Linda.

Richard is a graduate of The Academy Of Realistic Taxidermy where he was taught by world champions in the art of taxidermy. Richard continues to grow his knowledge by practicing and learning new techniques every chance he gets.

His Family is a known hunting and fishing family who enjoys the outdoors. From hunting in the brooks range for caribou or Fishing in Valdez for Halibut and Salmon you can always find Richard enjoying life.

Richard is an avid Bowhunter who also likes to teach the kids the fine points of archery.

Harter's Taxidermy is a full time Taxidermy shop and also a Dealer of Alaskan Fur. The shop is also an appointed fur sealer for the Alaska Department of fish and game.

He not only has his clients in Alaska but he also caters to the nonresident out of state hunters, with everything from fully mounting to expediting your trophy. Harter's Taxidermy services the whole state of Alaska including nearby towns: Fairbanks, North Pole (7 miles), Salcha (25 miles), Nenana (55 miles) and Fox (10 miles).

He will continue to strive to be on the cutting edge in the ways of modern taxidermy, and the techniques used today.
